Why the Left suddenly hate Lionel Messi and Argentina?
On Argentina having a racial past and a right wing government, being "pro-Israel" and "anti-Palestine", and the moral degeneration of today's Left politics.
Leftists are so braindead these days that they are actually writing things like “How can you support Argentina and claim to be pro-Palestine? Argentina has a history of racism and ethnic cleansing against indigenous and black communities?” As if every other place in the world doesn’t have some kind of problematic past and present.
Do we seriously believe the black Africans or even other African communities are not communal and corrupt, and they themselves have nothing to do with the civil wars and famines in their continent? Do we seriously believe the Arabs and other west Asian Muslims are very welcoming of blacks and people from the subcontinent, and they are not colluding with Israel and breeding terrorists of their own to target others? Do we seriously believe the other Latin American countries are the epitome of progressiveness, and they don’t have their obsessions of looking like whites and treating their women as sex dolls?
Every society everywhere in the world has an ugly face and a pretty one. Which one is ugly and which one is pretty depends on which side of the politics we believe in. I know which one I believe in but that doesn’t mean that I will completely ignore the other side to satisfy my sense of morality. Morality is muddy water that most people don’t realise. We tend to believe that our definition of morality, which for most leftists is just being politically correct in front of their audience, is the ideal one.
I do not judge or make opinion about Black Africans, Latin Americans, Arabs, or about any people, based on their absolute worst, or absolute best. I consider both and apply my own sense of logic and reasoning and my sense of understanding of their reality. Most of the time I am wrong. But I learn and rectify myself instead of falling for the hysteria.
By consuming all their information from social media and trapping themselves in their own algorithmic echo chambers, people are losing all their individual abilities to think for themselves. Social media-infused infodemic has made post-truth possible to the extent never seen before. People don’t believe in objective reality or objective truth anymore. People believe what is convenient for their mental well being, and leftists for their political correctness.
Leftists today are just naive people and are exactly what they blame the right wing trolls of. Brainwashed and braindead propaganda victim. Right wingers are at least an honest bunch. They don’t pretend to be intelligent and know things. But the brazenness with which the Left cabal have exposed their naivety still shocks me. I don’t know why. Are we seriously so dumb that we are going to recognise Argentina with only their racial past and their current government?
So we will just forget that one of the greatest and most important Left icons of the last century emerged from Argentina? Literally from the same town of Rosario where Lionel Messi was born. I dare say that Che Guevara till date is a more relevant socio-cultural Left icon than a Lenin or a Stalin or a Castro. Will we also ignore that like its racial past Argentina has a glorious history of Left politics, of dethroning an actual dictatorship? That even just last month hundreds of protesters took to the streets in Buenos Aires for the Palestine cause? You may. I shall not.
So yes, I support Argentina. And I’m also pro-Palestine. Not in the populist leftist way. But by trusting my learning, my understanding of and my instinct about the Palestine issue. For now. If proven wrong in future, I will change my opinion. But I will not fall for the hysteric nonsense, neither from the left nor from the right.
What the leftists are technically doing by identifying Argentina with only its racial past and its current right wing government is ignoring and refusing to acknowledge their own leftist kinfolk and their history in that country. And then the same leftists wonder where the global left has disappeared and why there is a resurgence of right worldwide! The global left have been swallowed whole by and into the self-executing algorithmic matrix of their own creation.
They are trapped inside an endless algorithmic feedback loop. They no longer see reality. They engage with a machine reflecting their own beliefs. In doing so, the left has lost their cognitive ability for objective thinking and understanding the world’s harsh complexities and nuances. Leftists today are addicted to the dopamine rush they get from their political correctness. Any information, howsoever objectively factual, that challenges their belief system sickens them. As if their underused prefrontal cortex collapses the moment it faces a challenge.
